This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The Biome Continent Study Package provides an engaging set of materials that guide the learner to ask bigger questions and encourages independent research as children discover the many facets of the world around us and their place in it.

These materials directly extend the study of biomes to the studies of different continents and offer a plethora of opportunities for self-guided research and discussion.

My students are very creative and love to learn new concepts through hands-on activities and exploration. Our classroom environment is fitting for them as we are a Montessori School and encourage hands-on learning. The Montessori Method aims for the fullest possible development of the whole child, ultimately preparing him for the many experiences life has to offer. The Continent Biome Cards provide students with information about the biomes, plants, animals, and peoples of the continents and lay the groundwork for self-guided learning and independent research that will lead to a great understanding of the world around them.

My students take an active role in their learning and help each other discover all the curriculum has to offer. Through their learning, my students develop independence and interact with each other in an emotionally positive way. We are truly like a family working together to better ourselves and each other.
