My Students
The students in my 3rd grade class are creative, funny, hardworking, dramatic, and encouraging to say the least. My students go on daily adventures and have grown to love theses adventures they encounter through their imagination and love of reading. I am building a classroom community of life-long readers and lovers of literature. I love how much my students come to school eager and ready to learn. They have such positive attitudes towards learning and reading. My students are also becoming socially and emotionally aware of themselves and others around them.
My Project
These materials will enhance my students learning by allowing them to have the opportunity to become self aware of their feelings and emotions. Within our district we are incorporating a social/emotional learning space in each classroom specifically for students to be able to learn how to calm themselves down in the classroom and then be able to join the class and continue on with their day successfully.
The students learn self awareness and how to control themselves without the teacher having to stop class and for a period of time.
It will help the students to grow and also be able to help each other in the time of need. They will become more empathetic towards others and aware of others feelings around them in their daily lives.
