My Students
My students are 4th graders in an inner city Florida school. The elementary school has approximately 500 students with 100% qualifying for free or reduced lunch. Students are excited to explore their world and expand their capacity for critical thinking. My fourth-grade classroom is a place of discovery, innovation, and learning.
Students will spend this year actively learning and acquiring knowledge through discovery and learning.
They take pride in their efforts and are willing to challenge their minds for the sake of learning.
My Project
This 3D printer and filament will take my students on a learning journey by keeping them motivated and engaged while reinforcing math skills and science concepts. This printer will help students create a model of the earth's layers and piece them together to enhance their understanding. Students will also use this 3D printer create fraction pieces to further their understanding of adding and subtracting fractions and finding equivalent fractions.
My students will be engaged with designing bridges, making 3D games, and creating models to further enhance their learning.
This 3D printer will bring learning to life and make learning exciting for my students!
