My Students

My class is full of life and wonder. Their 4 and 5 year old minds are in awe of everything they learn on a daily basis. Many of them have not had exposure to a school setting and are amazed at what we do all day. Although all of my students qualify for free or reduced lunch, many are below the poverty line and do not have access to books, puzzles, writing materials, science materials, building blocks, and art supplies at home. We run out of consumables fairly quickly.

My students are hopeful, kind, intelligent, and ready to learn.

All they need is encouragement, love, and an abundance of opportunity and supplies!

My Project

We need more STEM supplies in our Pre-K Classroom. We have a 3 week unit of study about balls in our curriculum. The Ramps and Balls Exploration Set will do wonders for the impressionable minds of my 4 year old students. Hands on problem solving using these new STEM materials will create high quality thinkers who hypothesize, work together, and explore science, engineering, and math.

Young children are natural scientists and engineers.

No one is better at exploring, observing, questioning, reasoning, and predicting than children. With these new supplies, my students will be able to increase their intellectual learning, while working together.
