Our multi-age classroom is a community of learners and growers. We spend two years with our students, guiding them and watching them blossom. We emphasize working together and being a community. Students help one another and learn in the best way, by teaching others.
Our students are an amazing and diverse group of third and fourth graders.
They come from high poverty areas. School is often their comfort place and provides food, as well as stability. The school is Title I funded. Our classroom is like a community, and we want the students to feel comfortable and safe while learning.
My Project
My student need healthy snacks for our classroom to help promote healthy eating and support their growing needs. Many of my students are unable to bring their own snacks to school. Their growing bodies get hungry through out the day and we like to help them by providing a snack break. The granola bars, fruit snacks and water bottles will help promote healthy eating. It will also help fill their bellies to keep them learning and moving.
Secondly we need supplies to help keep our classroom clean and healthy.
Our classrooms are always cleaned at the end of every day. However , sometimes we need some clean up through out the day. The brooms and wipes will help keep our classroom healthy. It will also help teach the students to be responsible for helping us clean up.
