My Students

My students are amazing and adventurous! They come from a multitude of backgrounds and have so much to share. Their minds are like sponges soaking up all that they can. I am incredibly impressed with their excitement and willingness to learn. They are becoming lovers of books, which will help their life-long journey of gaining knowledge. Reading is a fun and empowering time for our class; they enjoy being able to share their findings with others.

Our school is a low income school; that has high movement.

Many families struggle, but together as a Community we build strong citizens. We encourage all students to strive greatness and to be citizens of the world. These kids are incredible and work hard to be the best that they can be.

My Project

Our classroom will run much more smoothly with the help of book boxes. The students will have a neat place to store their books, which will give them more time to enjoy their reads. They are also nice due to the fact that they are easy to transport around the classroom. It really gets my students excited when they can find a cozy place to read. The books chosen will help develop their minds as mathematicians and scientists. Reading books on the topics encourages the students to dig deeper and build connections. We as a school find it vital to connect the disciplines because it provides different experiences that help deepen understanding of concepts. In supporting this project you are giving students the chance to become more deeply connected in their learning.
