My students need eight-pocket folders for our writers workshops, MANY pencils to make sure we are always ready, and colored paper to publish our stories!
As a child, I never questioned "where can I buy discounted pencils?", but these are questions that students have asked me, to ensure that they will be ready for our classroom. It breaks my heart to see students in need, and would LOVE your help!
My fantastic, passionate, and smiling students are in a public, urban school environment.
They are students with far-reaching dreams that I cannot wait to see them achieve. They are determined, motivated, and very loving, and I would love to give back to them. I have used hundreds of my own dollars to be ready for them this year, and need a bit of help from generous, and big-hearted individuals. We would greatly appreciate any help!
My Project
My students will be using their eight pocket folders to go through the writing process together. We will write, edit, revise, rewrite, check, and publish our writing throughout this year, and I would like to keep these young students organized! To keep their thoughts and processes organized, I NEED YOUR HELP! These folders would be PERFECT to organize which step they are working on, and to continue their ideas and motivation for their writing. We could also use the bright paper to publish titles for their stories and get fellow students interested in their writing! Please help my students, and our caring/creative classroom!
As a teacher, I have collected many folders over the years from students willing to donate their items to the classroom.
They may have some tears, and some names written on the inside, but I also collect them for students that come to school without any supplies. I would love for my students to be able to begin their writing workshop with a brand new fresh folder for their ideas. To experience what it would be like to have a folder that STARTS with their ideas, and that they can call their own.
