Aquarian learners are amazing! The family support and teacher connections with students and their families are so unique. They treasure that learning is fun, challenging, and highly meaningful.
Aquarian learners are active, spirited, inquisitive, excited and thrilled to learn and explore the world dynamically through inspiring learning experiences.
They really are the best! Our community is very diverse culturally and economically and families highly value the success of their child. Students at this school value flexible learning options and the freedom to choose a learning space that meets their needs.
My Project
Our first graders need flexible seating options for comfortable learning centers, working in different zones throughout our classroom, and allowing learners to choose a space that meets their emotional and physical needs for that day. Also, this allows me to have many places throughout my classroom to spread kids out so that they can find a place to do partner reading, focus on a project, or get some personal space if it is a day that they need to have some space.
A physical space that is inviting, comfortable, as well as stimulating empowers a learner to feel welcomed into their learning environment and feel cared about.
My goal is to create a space where students can thrive, be themselves, and love being at school.
A futon will give kids a place to comfortably partner read together. A furniture bean bag is a comfortable place for 3 first graders to lay back and partner read. The Flex Space floor seats will allow kids to grab a comfortable floor seat and choose a comfortable space in the classroom to engage in class work.
