This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are always willing to learn. They have inquisitive minds and love to ask questions. They are compassionate and understanding of each others feelings and understand what it means to be a team player.
My students are special because they understand how to use technology even if it is not a part of their daily routine.
They put their best effort forward and although struggle at times, these children never give up.
These children want to come to school to learn, feel safe and be apart of a group.
My Project
If my project is fully funded my students will be able to access different apps on these computers and have up to date technology with all working parts. They will learn how to navigate a computer properly and the computers will be able to handle the day to day use. My students also need new language arts games to help with their fluency, word building and vocabulary. Because paper is limited in my school, it is often difficult to make copies of games
for the students.
These games are hands on and are fully engaging.
Having up-to-date technology will help my students with their learning games and complete assignments on time. Many of my students do not have technology at home and are unable to complete the assignments. Having the extra computers in class will allow them to not only use them at centers but to also use them to complete homework assignments before leaving for the day.
