Through student-centered learning, exposure to STEM career pathways, and a focus on innovation, problem-solving and risk-taking we are developing tomorrow's innovators at our School. The learning in the classroom is designed to expand on students' interests, ideas, and questions!
Our school is located in Chicago's west side, a neighborhood where students encounter problems every day that many adults have not faced in their entire lives.
Our school staff and administration work hard to ensure that all students are given an opportunity to learn and feel successful.
Each year, NSTA hosts a national conference on science education that offers the latest in science content, teaching strategy, and research to enhance and expand professional growth.
I would like to take advantage of this unique opportunity to collaborate with science education leaders and my peers.
I am hoping to be able to attend this conference and return to my school with a plethora of teaching strategies to implement in my classroom and to share with my colleagues. Our students would greatly benefit from innovative hands-on practices that are used across the country. My hope is to be able to share that with everyone at our school.
