My students need the carnation breakfast to get off to a great morning! The food will be sent home with students who do not have food for the weekend. Throws will keep them warm.

My Students

My students love to come to school! I know that seems weird to say about high school students, but they love to come to learn new things, to see their friends and, for most, to get two warm meals.

My students come to school with smiles on their faces regardless of what has happened at home before they come to school.

We have about an 90% poverty level in the town in which I teach. My students become my kids, and I will do everything I can to help them.

My Project

We take having a warm meal on our table at night for granted. So many of my students only get a warm meal while they are at school.

It is hard to concentrate with an empty stomach.

My students come to school to learn but many of them come for love or just warmth in general. We try to get the students ready go into the work force and adult life once they graduate high school. It is difficult to try your best when all you can hear is your stomach.

The food we are requesting is to help the students learn while at school and take away some of the hunger pains. Most of my students want to make a better life for them self as well as their families.

Several of our students are homeless and do not have food for dinner. They are the parent to their younger siblings. This food would go home with the students so they would have one less worry at night, at least they would have food for themselves as well as their families. We are also requesting hygiene items like shampoo and conditioner as well as shoes.
