My Students

My students attend a K-12 charter school in Arizona. Most students that attend our school come from low-income families. Our school is in a low-income area of our city. They come to our school seeking a better education and more opportunities than they would receive at a public school in the area.

I have many students that struggle to enjoy learning.

It is an important to keep the classroom and materials engaging to keep them wanting to pay attention and be successful.

My Project

We use laptops in our room daily. The students often need to listen to a video on a lesson. It is very distracting to hear 25 different computers playing videos and sound effects in a classroom. Using earbuds will allow them to all create their own individual learning environment.

Many students are not able to purchase their own headphones and many others tend to forget to bring theirs on a daily basis.

This project will allow me to have earbuds for all students that I can store in the classroom. The requested containers will allow me to send the earbuds with the students when they need to use them in a different room.
