Help me give my students the chance to improve their reading, math, and testing knowledge with stack stools, dry erase sleeves, buzzers, and pencil grips.
I have the absolute pleasure to work with some of the most inspiring, hardworking, and fun students! My students range from grades kindergarten through fifth. In my unique teaching position, I am the only special education teacher at our small rural school in Somerset County, Maryland. My students have the great opportunity to learn in distinctive and new ways that will help them capture learning at their own pace! Along with servicing all students with special learning needs I also get to work in the classroom PLUS have intervention groups with students who desire more directed learning outside of the classroom.
My Project
As our students continue to grow as young readers and mathematicians our classroom has grown too! Our needs are few but these items will continue the success students have made during intervention. These materials will help students continue their flexible seating arrangements within our room. This philosophy of giving students flexibility in their seating carries over to their mindset as well. Students have more of a relaxed body, thus able to focus on their work.
Another important aspect of our room is for students to work at their own pace, and encouraging them to identify and fix their own mistakes along the way.
Students will use the plastic sheets at their math and reading centers to continue to learn from their mistakes.
