This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are 4th graders from a charter school in New Orleans. They come from various parts of New Orleans, and are predominately of low to middle income. However, for 150 minutes each school day they enter the World of Math, and they give it their all.
Math is often a challenge for them but they continue to embrace it.
Every math success, great or small, means the world to these students.
My Project
The delivery of instruction for fourth grade students will be greatly enhanced by this dry erase board. Real time-online instruction will be brought to a higher level effectiveness. Students will be able to see math problems being worked and ask questions in real time.
With this board my students will be able to become more involved in our virtual math class.
My students will be able to see me write each step as it is being explained. This will greatly increase student success.
Distance Learning is a challenge but it is not too great for my students, given every opportunity.
