Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our beautiful elementary school is located just south of Seattle, Washington. Over the last few years, the school's enrollment has been steadily increasing to almost 700 students! The physical education department is fortunate enough to see each and every student at least twice a week. In addition to PE, we offer both before and after school programs to keep our students engaged and healthy.
Our student population is growing!
Our elementary school has a wide array of cultures, which makes it a fun place to teach! Due to this increase of students, our equipment demands are also growing. Our students look forward to PE each day, and this equipment will touch the lives of every student.
My Project
My students need bowling equipment for our before and after school programs!
This equipment will help students develop bowling skills that will be used in life!
Bowling is a lifelong activity, so it is important that students learn these skills early in life! My students are looking forward to carpet bowling lanes for our before and after school programs! These lanes will give our students a realistic bowling experience, compared to bowling on the gym floor. Lanes will be used for our "Fit Club" before school, and also for "Run Club" after school. Fit club is a club where students come in before school and get to play team sports against one another. Run club is a club where students learn about their fitness, and then get to compete against one another in various competitive sports. Bowling would be a great addition to both of these clubs! We already have the pins and bowling balls...all we need are the lanes! Thanks for any donations...my students are thankful!
