Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have the best students in the world! My school is located in a high-needs community. Most of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. My wonderful students come to school with smiles on their faces, ready to learn.
Although they struggle with extreme home situations, they often want someone to guide them into learning.
They are sweet and beautiful children who want to have fun and learn in a peaceful, fun classroom. I want to make that available to them!
My Project
My students are often asking for art supplies to illustrate what they wrote. We often illustrate with crayons. Having different types of paper, markers and dot art paint would be awesome for my class. This would enhance the illustrations that they often enjoy doing right after their writing. I would love to surprise them with large Post-it paper, markers, dot art paint and chart paper for their creations to come alive. The students would have no limits to what they can create. Markers, paper, dot art paint and chart paper would be a dream for my students to have. Thank you!
