My Students

My students become my family. I love all of their unique qualities and personalities. There is no better feeling than watching the class grow and develop into strong, independent, and confident readers. Many of my students enter fourth grade reluctant to read, but by the end of the school year, they feel much more confident. It's amazing being able to encourage a student to take risks and discuss unfamiliar topics; topics that may fall out of their comfort zone and topics that may prompt them to think differently about the difficult subject matter. Some of these difficult subjects are positive self-talk and the importance of our self-worth. That is why I want to give each of my students the book "we are all Wonders" to remind them that they are wonderful. And that we have so much to gain from loving ourselves.

My Project

Our classroom becomes a family, and I want students to have a piece of their fourth-grade year - a reminder of the wonder they experienced this school year. And a reminder that we are all different and these differences make us all wonderful.

We all need reminders of how Wonder-ful we all can be. This book will be given to each student in my classroom with a personal anecdote to help them remember this year. And of course, a personal reminder of how truly incredible and amazing they all can be.
