Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This is a first grade bilingual class. Their Hispanic cultural background is embraced in our classroom and celebrated. My students enjoy hands on activities where they can satisfy their curiosity and inquire about the world. My students are energetic, curious, and enthusiastic. Each student is eager to learn, read ,and develop their reading levels. Every day the students come eager to learn and work. They greatly enjoy reading books and talking about what they learned with each reading.
I would like your help to buy a listening center for students.My students are full of energy and are eager to learn.
Each student is different as well as their learning styles. In order to meet the different learning styles the students participate in learning centers, where they can explore different lessons in a variety of ways.
My Project
The CD players and headphones will allow my students to work independently as they listen to texts at their reading level allowing them to develop their fluency and reading comprehension.
These CD players will help me to introduce a variety of texts to my students as they advance in their reading.
Having these cd players will help me differentiate their reading development.
Most of my students do not have the resources at home to read leveled text. It is my deepest desire to be able to expose them to a variety of texts that will help them achieve higher reading skills. With your help my students will be able to reach their reading goals.
