Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My 5th graders all come from a low social economic community and most of them don't have computers at home or access to one. But like all kids they love technology! They enjoy all the learning activities and programs we do online.
They are a group of dynamic students that love to use their technology, but sometimes it is hard to hear with so many on at the same time.
They state that they have a difficulty in finishing their online assignments because of non-working headphones, or lack thereof.
My students are enthusiastic learners who enjoy their technology!
My Project
The use of working headphones would definitely make a huge difference in my student's learning. My class set has taken a real beating throughout my years of teaching. The ones that do work, my students could only hear from one side.
We have a learning program that increases their ability to read and it shows us what they need help in, so by helping our students "hear" it could possibly make a huge difference in their reading!
My school is located in a low social economic community that it makes it hard for families to buy the students earbuds. I have 5th graders who love to read and to be read to.
By helping me achieve this, it would make a huge difference to all my kids. Thank you.
