This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am a second grade teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, where my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I am in an early childhood center that ranges from PreK-2nd grade. I try very hard to make learning the best time of my students day. I want them to yearn to learn and leave me being lifelong learners. I value each and everyone of my students very much. I work so hard to find out what helps them to soar and thrive each and every day. I want to make each lesson fun, motivating, and exciting. When they leave me at the end of the day the best thing to see is their bright smiles.
My Project
I would love to give myself and my students a classroom filled with endless projects that will take our classroom to a whole new level. In our classroom we learn through units of study that the children get so into. This Cricut machine, heat press and accessories, will allow us to create labels, and projects that are three dimensional to bring our units of study to life. It will help us create beautiful wall decor to go with our writing. It would be able to help us label our folders, books, desks, using creative and favorite things that motivate my students. It will also benefit us for personal projects for our loved ones during holiday times. We would love to create T-shirts to show our school spirit for field day or our performances. Please give my students this opportunity to take their creativity to a whole new level. I scream, you scream, we all scream for the Cricut machine!
