Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our School is a Title I school that heavily relies on the support from the community. The students at our school know they are enough, loved, and worthy of a quality, successful, and an equitable education. We focus on being Respectful, Responsible and Safe. Our students’ mission involves learning, engaging, achieving goals, and developing character. The children who make up our students are destined to be our next generation of leaders and advocates. We are encouraged by our students’ determination and hard work.
My Project
Feelings are difficult to discuss and express when you are in grade school. I would love to have more books that I can use to help all students at my school be able to read about others who have experienced similar things. I want them to know they are not alone. Some students can't verbalize how they feel. Using play-dough or craft dough could make a way for those students to express themselves. Games are a great way to run social skills groups, and my students could have fun, too. My students deserve the best, and I hope to help them with your help.
