Help me give my students a chance be more productive by getting weighted lap blankets, beanbag chairs, and a stability balance disc! We all have different needs.
My class serves kindergarten through second grade. All of my students qualify for special education. My students have a range of abilities and challenges. Most of my students need many breaks between working tasks. They are very sweet and all special in their own way. The items we are asking for will allow students to explore their goals and have so much fun they forget they are learning. They will be able to move and manipulate letters and numbers as well as sight words and counters. The students will learn independence as they are able to play solo or with friends.
My Project
The students in my classroom all have different needs. Some students are able to sit in a chair and attend to a lesson. However some of my students struggle to sit for even a few minutes. With these tools my students will able to meet their sensory needs withing the classroom. These tools will help them to be more productive and meet more of their goals. All of my students have different physical restrictions. One of my students is in a wheelchair and a beanbag chair with a back will allow him to sit with his peers while being supported. Also who doesn't want to take a break in something so comfortable. The weighted lap pads will help my students with sensory processing disorder to feel centered and calm.
