My classroom consists of 26 bright, curious, and hard working third graders. Each morning, they come to school with a smile, ready to learn and tackle new challenges. My students are expressive. They are imaginative and creative. Whenever they have free time, many choose to doodle or draw on a piece of paper.
As their proud teacher, I always look for ways to introduce curriculum in a way that is engaging, motivating, and meaningful to all learners, regardless of their readiness, interests, or learning styles.
My Project
Art seems to help my students break their own boundaries, lower their anxiety levels, and boost their brain power. In art, there are no right or wrong answers. Not like reading or writing, everyone can be an expert. Anyone can create an art piece that can make themselves proud and be valued & appreciated by others.
Having different media like water colors and oil pastels will provide my students an outlet to express their feelings, thoughts, and beliefs about themselves, their community, and the world.
I want to help my students embrace their differences, strengthen their creativity, and build up their self-confidence. Through art sessions, I can truly encourage differences and witness all my students shine.
