My students need some materials (watercolor paper, watercolor paint, and some black permanent markers) for studio projects. I teach ceramics and we often accompany out clay projects with a related studio piece. These materials would provide us what we need to do some watercolor pieces

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are an urban high school which lacks the necessary materials and resources for our students to thrive. Our neighborhood is high poverty and we are considered to be one of the most challenging schools in our area. I have taught here for 16 years and enjoy the creative spirit of my students. Over the years I have had the pleasure of seeing my students discover talents they never knew they had. I strive to expose them to as many diversified artistic experiences as I can.
My Project
I am requesting watercolor paper, watercolor paint, and some black permanent markers for some spring paintings. In Ceramics we often accompany our clay projects with a related studio project. Students enjoy watercolor and there are so many fun techniques to experiment with. Towards the end of the year we also get low on clay and having these watercolor resources would enable me to teach my students some fun ways of expressing themselves in abstract and technical ways.
It is important to keep students engaged in learning until the last days of class.
