This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Everyone knows that drinking water throughout the day is beneficial for your health. Staying hydrated also helps students focus on their academics. Our school has 2 drinking fountains with the ability to refill bottles so that students can have clean water throughout the day.
I will give the refillable water bottles to students who need them.
This will allow them to have access to water all day long to stay healthy and focused. Removing the distraction of thrust and the need to constantly leave the room to use the drinking fountain. Most of my students are low-income and do not have the extra money to buy the bottles themselves. This project will allow me to address the needs of the whole student. These water bottles will be open to ANY student in the building that needs a bottle or who needs one for a family member.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
