Water, Snacks, and Masks-Oh My!

My Students

My students come from all over the world.

They love coming to school and learning English.

They enjoy hands-on projects and activities to enhance their language skills. Some of my students have never been to school in the United States and are learning English for the first time.

My Project

I serve the majority of my students in the afternoon. By the time they come to me they are often thirsty and hungry. The thirst and hunger often distracts them from their ability to learn. The water bottles would make a great replacement for the little plastic cups they have been using to fill up for water. Students would be able to fill and refill their water bottle causing less disruption to learning.

The snacks would be an easy grab and eat for the students that are either still hungry after lunch and/or come in in the morning hungry.

Hunger is an issue at our school and I would love to be able to take away some of those hunger pains.

The masks and Clorox wipes are to help keep our learning environment safe and clean as we continue to see COVID cases on the rise. Students often need a replacement mask throughout the day. Having masks in my own classroom would prevent students from missing valuable group time.

Students are much more likely to succeed when their basic needs are being met. These items help meet those needs. All of these items also will hopefully keep my students healthy and in school.
