My students need sensory materials daily for them to calm down when they are frustrated and in order to get ready for school activities. Without such support, they have more challenges throughout school routine.
My students are young children with Autism, between 3 and 5. They have challenges in the way they sense the world. Some of them may have difficulty to get the information through hearing (they need more visual support), and others might have challenges to handle the noise around them. Based on each individual needs, we are creating an learning environment for them to learn through playing in our school.
Our students are doing well when visual materials are provided, and they do better if a more unique learning environment is created based on their needs.
They need a lot of sensory experience. But, they are so lovely! It is heart-melting job when you see the big smiles on their little faces and receive their trusted looking.
I love them, and try to support them as mush as I can. They need your support, nothing is too small.
Thank you in advance.
My Project
The students need the sensory materials and organizing racks in the classroom. So, I created this project to help the students get their water play set and organizing racks for their wet art crafts to dry out.
With this project, the students will have fun to play water kit in order to meet their sensory needs, and to calm down for their school activities.
Sensory materials will provide more effective learning environment for them to participate in classroom activities and lead better learning outcome. We can teach the language through their play, which the students need lots of support for their language delays.
