Help me give my students an opportunity to use the Milwaukee DO meter!
This project expired on December 11, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
At the beginning of the year, I ask what type of learners they are or how they like to learn. The majority of students write down that they are visual learners. I have attempted to increase good quality labs in my classroom.
My students have a passion for science.
My students are inquisitive and usually eager to learn. I strive to give them an environment where they want to come to my class and want to learn the subject matter.
In the past, my students have monitored water quality using various testing strips. This probe will allow them to measure the dissolved oxygen in an aquatic ecosystem.
Measuring dissolved oxygen is essential to monitor aquatic life.
This will allow students to see the changes in an ecosystem and how it impacts the organisms that depend on the water source. Both of my biology students and environmental science students will be able to use this monitor. There are two different labs that we can monitor water quality. These labs allows them to understand the complexity of maintaining equilibrium in a system.
