My Students

I am lucky to teach first grade students at GES. My school is a Title 1 school, which means many of my students are from low income homes. I always have a diverse group of students that include some learning English as a first language, some who have special needs, and even some who have traumatic home lives, and always students who are loved and cared for by parents and caregivers who are doing the best they can to help them learn.

My students come with amazing grit and are eager to learn.

First grade students are remarkable and they grow and progress so much during this year. I am honored to spend my time with them each school day.

My Project

Providing each student in my class a spill proof water bottle that they can keep at school will help them to stay hydrated and will help to limit the spread of germs in my classroom by limiting visits to the drinking fountain. Hand sanitizer that doesn't dry up skin and contain harsh ingredients will help me to keep hands clean and healthy. Clorox wipes with help students to wipe down their desks each day and keep our classroom clean

Additionally, diverse skin colored crayons will help my very diverse class of students represent them self and their friends in their art projects.
