This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work with a great group of underprivileged student athletes. Many of them are responsible to help pay bills for their families, and take care of their little brothers and sisters. They do that while practicing 5 days a week 2 hours a day and keep up with their school work.

We are in inner-city school trying to compete at the highest level in the state.

They are a group of fighters that don't back down and need a little help.

My Project

These watches will help us be a more competitive team by moving our training to the next level. Right now with a single coach and 20 runners it is hard to keep accurate data on their training. With GPS style watches this will not be easy to make sure we are training at the right level to get the most our of our training session. This in turn will allows us to be more competitive and maximize our ability to train smarter. This is is what it will take for us to get to the next level in our program.
