My Students

Our team is a family! The students I teach/coach on my Cross Country team take great pride in supporting each other, working hard, and striving to be the best runner and teammate they can be. We have a large team with many different types of kids represented. Unfortunately, several of our students cannot always afford some of the items it takes for them to be safe, uninjured, and successful.

It would be great to see all of my students have the items necessary to be successful and safe during our workouts.

All students deserve the same opportunities regardless of what their families financial situation may be. We appreciate you considering us for a DonorsChoose grant.

My Project

My Cross Country Team is a large group of kids working to better their fitness levels and develop into the best team they can be. In Florida the weather can be extremely hot. In order to keep kids safe during runs we send then out with watches. The watches are used to help them track their time and make sure they are at a water station in a certain amount of minutes.

By using watches, we can make sure that our runners are well hydrated and safe.

Not all of our students are able to buy watches to use on their own.
