Our first grade classroom needs a digital camera to document the progress our learning garden and record our findings in our garden journals. Students will photograph our school garden and write about changes that they observe.

20 very eager first graders, at an elementary charter school, are ready to snap changes in the world around them.

We are a first grade classroom interested in adding a new element to our gardening and writing. The students want to photograph the progress of our garden and display these photos alongside their writing in their garden journals. They will also use the camera to record daily activities. These pictures will accompany our classroom's daily news.

Having a digital camera will allow students to document the growth of their plants and the various insects that live in the garden. The photographs will inspire students to write more and share their knowledge of habitats and plant life with their classroom community.

By donating a camera, you will motivate the children to write, add a component of technology to our curriculum and allow children to view life through a different lens.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
