My Students

Starting a school garden is especially important in my school's community. I really want my students to get comfortable in nature, get their hands dirty, and watch their seeds grow!

Giving my students an opportunity to learn how to grow their own food would be beneficial to their physical, social, and emotional health, as well as their academic achievement.

Fostering a connection to nature and a sense of belonging would improve their overall well-being. If I give my students the gift of growing their own food, they can feed themselves and their families healthy choices for the rest of their lives!

My Project

All the materials I am asking for are essential to having a successful garden. Without the right tools we may not be able to succeed.

My students are so excited to watch their veggies grow.

We just need a few more items to make sure we have all the necessary equipment. These kid sized shovels will help us plant more bulbs, the bulbs will grow and be the first sign of spring! The hose will help us keep our garden alive. The book I have chosen will be a great read-aloud to kick-off the spring as we plant our seeds.
