My Project
My students love to plant and watch their "experiments" grow. Last two years we partnered with FoodCorps and learned about how we can grow our food ourselves. Then 2020 happened and... at this point it's the same old story - we had to stop. This school year, as one of our Science lessons, we planted Summer Squash seeds in two different environments and watched them grow. My students LOVED it! We learned about hypothesis and findings, even kept a journal. The Spring is coming and I got an idea!

I want to show my students that even though many things are still changed, we can keep growing! We will plant and take care of a small vegetable garden which will teach us some new skills and also reinforce the responsibility and taking care of others, as well as enjoying the fruits, well vegetables, of our labor. I also want to plant some flowers in small flower pots that my students will take home and share the joy with their families.
