My Students

Although things look a bit differently this year, my students show up every day ready to learn--smiling under their masks. At our school, we strive to be a compassionate, kind, hardworking community of learners.

I have the privilege of teaching 15 amazing First Graders this year!

My Project

First graders are emerging readers and writers. Having a visual to work from is very important. As I model examples for my students, they will be able to follow along as we complete the work together. My students will also be able to watch my letter and number formation.

Ben Franklin said "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” A document camera will involve students as I model and give directions.

They will have a clear visual that goes along with my spoken word.

This document camera could also help my students learn from home. For example, I can also use this document camera to record lessons for Google Classroom or remote learning.
