This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are one big, happy family. Our Title I school is home to a large population (92%) of English language learners. My students face many challenges while living in a new country and attempting to learn a new language.
My three classes are filled with 75 eager students who love working together to complete various tasks.
My goal is to make their transition as smooth as possible in hopes of preparing them for great achievement. They are capable of greatness and will achieve.
My Project
We are requesting laundry detergent to wash their clothes, clorox, dryer sheets, and lotion. These materials are life essentials that will be used by the families of our students in need. Receiving these items would mean so much to the students and their families. The washer and dryer would allow students to have clean clothes every day.
Students need laundry detergent, Clorox, dryer sheets, and lotion to maintain a clean and healthy start to their school day.
Students will have the opportunity to wash clothes during and after school.
Having clean clothes will be a life changer to students in need. Having clean clothes would allow our students to focus on their academics instead of their basic needs. This lifelong skill will result in increased self-esteem and independence.
