My students need clothes for the warmer weather to wear; socks and T-shirt’s especially. Most of my students have recently been displaced and do not have enough foods or weather wise clothing.
ENERGETIC! HIGHLY MOTIVATED! EXCITABLE! INQUISITVE! These are some of the words I would use to describe my Special Ed 3rd graders.
Vibrant exciting individuals who hAve so much energy that it’s hard to sit still and share all this energy.
This students need the ability to work and release this excess energy while learning and working

My Project
Most of my students have recently been displaced and require clothing to weather that corresponds with the season and weather. Food is also in short supply and high in demand.
In order for a child to be able to focus, function and learn they need to have all their needs met, especially becwarm and fed.
So as their constant adult and advocate , I am trying to make sure they have enough food to eat when they leave the school and clothing that fits and is seasonally appropriate.
Clean proper fitting T-shirt’s and socks are a high priority and needed more than anything else.
