Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with 100% of our students receiving free lunch.
We are a high school that supports creativity.
This year, our school has taken a huge budget cut. Even though we had this budget cut, it is all about the kids.
We are an inner-city school of visual arts. My students live in neighborhoods that are stricken with violence and much crime and they want to make a difference right in their neighborhoods.
My Project
Help me with supplies needed to personally send cards, notes of encouragement or a letter to my students. This will let them know that they are really thought of, even though I see them on our remote platform.
During this uncertain time sometimes a little note or card of thought can lift your spirits during this time.
The project is for a bookstore where students will use their own gift card to purchase a book. Students will use the gift cards as PBIS incentives and rewards. The reward incentive is for students who have been showing up online and on zoom meets, and who have demonstrated excellence in their marking period grades. I would like them to know I am thinking of them.
Computer ink, stamps envelopes, and cards are much needed to make my warm wish project take off. Students that have shown leadership support to others I want to award with a gift card.
