Help me give my students the clothes needed to stay warm and enjoy the Wisconsin winter!

Our school is a PreK through eighth-grade traditional school that offers various programs to support students' social and academic success. It is the first program to offer instruction in Mandarin Chinese. Students in grades PreK through eight receive Mandarin language instruction for thirty minutes each day. This coursework also increases students' global understanding of various Asian cultures and their influence on the global community. Our school also houses the International Newcomer Center (INC), a program that serves recently arrived middle school refugee students. In this program, students learn academic content while simultaneously acquiring the English language.
Now that school is virtual this school year it is harder to help students and their families stay warm.
The happiest of smiles can be seen when a student is able to put on a hat and mittens to go play outside. YES, even our oldest students love being able to put on warm clothes to go play in the first snowfalls of the year. With this project, I hope to give those smiles to students by delivering hats and mittens to help keep them warm in the colder months here in Wisconsin.
The hats and mittens will give my students the needed clothing when they are able to go outside and play around their homes. By warming a hat and a pair of mittens students are able to exercise in a safe way that will keep their bodies and minds healthy to continue working hard academically from their homes.
When being able to play outside or to play in general students are better equipped to focus on learning, have more self-control, and improve their academic achievement overall.
It only takes some time to play to help a student achieve in the classroom.
