My Students
I teach at a very dynamic elementary school in a very diverse area. My students come from all walks of life and make up a unique group of learners.
Our school is a warm, nurturing place where students love to come each day to work together and learn from one another. The children bring out the best in one another. Our goal is to develop the mind and character of each unique child so that they are the best version of themselves.
My Project
Many families, although hard working, have difficulty providing basic needs for their children.
Frequently students will come to school without proper outerwear for the cold winter.
The warm jackets will allow my students to be able to go outside for outdoor gym and recess as well as stay warm while waiting for the school bus and playing outside with friends. Besides warmth, these jackets will allow my students to participate and socialize with other children. Warmth, socializing, and being able to participate in activities with other children are so important for healthy child development. Please consider donating to this project.
