Warm From the Inside Out!

Help me give my students warmth and comfort this Christmas with winter gloves, hot chocolate, and cookies!

My Project

Many of my students come from low-income and disadvantaged backgrounds. We have worked to make sure each student has a jacket, but playing outside is still a struggle when their hands are cold, especially my active boys who love to play football.

Children need recess to work out their energy and improve their moods, but those benefits cannot be attained when students are too cold.

This project would allow all 60 of my students (from 3 classes) to have a pair of winter gloves of their very own to keep their hands warm during recess on cold winter days. I have also included included cookies and hot chocolate as part of a request to celebrate the holiday season while also providing warmth on days are too cold on rainy to go outside. Because my students do not have these things at home, it make celebrating the holidays at school even more special.
