My Kindergarten grade classroom is filled with eighteen fun, loving, and happy students who all enjoy coming to school each and everyday.
Kindergarten is such an exciting year that is based on interests, abilities, and goals.
Some of my students are learning to read, write, and count, while some of their classmates are learning to imitate sounds or hold a paintbrush. Our group loves to play outside, learn new games, and boogie to a sweet tune.
In this class, we build a community around what we have in common and our shared experiences.
My Project
I am requesting are fluorescent light covers. These covers dim the fluorescent light that is in most schools. By having the light covers the classroom would seem to have a more natural light. The light covers can create a calming environment and make students happier and more productive while they are learning.
Donations for my project are received by a grateful heart.
I have been wanting to get light covers since I started teaching because of the benefits for students. However, they are expensive because of how many light fixtures my classroom has. I often spend my money on tangible things for students like notebooks or other supplies that a student may not have. The light covers often get pushed to the back burner. However, they can have such a positive effect that I am trying my best to get them.
