My Students

I teach a class of five students with a wide range of abilities.
Most of them come to school eager to learn. Coming to school daily is a social adjustment. The school that they attend is mostly low socioeconomic. We have very few resources that are appropriate for my students. Our school is a Title I school. We also receive funding from the school improvement grant. This grant is helping to get technology in every classroom. My students need these items in order to have a hands-on concrete experience with character education.
My Project
My students need character education games to enhance their social skills. My students will read the books in order to associate with real world experiences. With the proper resources, my students will be able to engage in meaningful lessons that will develop them into great citizens. Recently we read the wonderful "Honest To Goodness Truth" and for the first time I had all of their attention. They wanted more!
My project is important because our world needs citizens that are caring individuals.
Through these materials they will be able to connect learning. Character education is crucial to creating a successful world.
