Our school is full of bright and unique individuals. Each and every one of the students has different needs and wants. The kids and staff accept each other, which makes for an exciting and eventful time at our school! Our students are from an urban, low-income area. They have the biggest hearts, but sometimes they don't show it in appropriate ways. I think that our students have amazing possibilities in life. If they could just try to accomplish the tasks at hand, they can do it!
In my classroom, I have transitioned to a flex-seating arrangement where the kids get to pick where they want to sit for the day. I have bean bags, standing desks, yoga mats, and camping chairs. We also have tables and a U table to work on guided math. We also have dry erase boards and markers that help us with our math.
If we get these yoga balls and dry erase table for our classroom, I believe that it will benefit our students in the following ways.
I believe that the yoga balls will help some of my students that have a lot of wiggles and fidgets. I believe that the dry erase table will help my students take less time to grab dry erase boards and overall have more time for math!
