Our school is full of bright and unique individuals. Each and every one of the students has different needs and wants. The kids and staff accept each other, which makes for an exciting and eventful time at our school! Our students are from an urban, low-income area. They have the biggest hearts, but sometimes they don't show it in appropriate ways. I think that our students have amazing possibilities in life. If they could just try to accomplish the tasks at hand, they can do it!
My Project
In my classroom, I have switched over from a traditional classroom with desks to a flexible seating arragement, and I am never looking back! My students are flourishing around my room in bean bags, standing desks, pillows, and yoga balls.
With your donation of the sofas and lap desks, I can continue my transformation!
Right now, my students are using the floor for their technology center, and I thought it would be great to have lap desks to keep our Chromebooks safe. I also have one table that still has regular chairs, so I thought adding a soda to each side would make it a fun and comfortable work environment.
