Wanted: New Mice for Chromebooks
Help me give my students new mice so they can easily navigate their Chromebooks.
My students are eager, intelligent and driven. They are always asking questions and are ready for math when they walk into my classroom. I have students that come from all sorts of backgrounds and home lives, so being a constant in their lives is highly important.
The school that I teach at receives minimal Title One money but these funds don't always cover the extra supplies and resources that we want for our students.
With that being said, I want to be able to open as many doors and possibilities for my students as I can to help them be successful throughout their lives.
Our 3rd grade classes have Chromebook carts which allow students to play review games, digital choice boards, collaborative assignments, and complete real world math projects. Some of the students have expressed that they would be more comfortable if they were able to use a mouse to control their movements.
The students also must complete their local district and growth assessments on their Chromebooks.
While I do have mice, some of them are currently not working and children struggle with using the touch pad. I want the most accurate data I can get from my students and having working mice will help them more easily navigate their Chromebooks. The data collected from these assessments and assignments will therefore be more useful to drive instruction.
