Wanted: N95 masks for a Healthy New Year

Help me give my students N95 masks so that they will be able to be safe while learning in our classroom.

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Charleston's classroom raised $181

My Students

My first graders are awesome! They are explorers and they are constantly on the move. I constantly emphasize the importance of being safe, being kind, being respectful, and being responsible each day in our little classroom. I work with 18 amazing and hardworking students who are extremely eager to learn, participate, and support each other's learning throughout the day.

Our school is a Title I school that serves many military families that are connected to Fort Bragg, and 100% of our students receive free lunch.

We are a low-wealth district in Cumberland. My class is full of students with a variety of interests, experiences, needs, and strengths. With the resources, structure, and the need to apply their curiosity, they will continue to develop into strong learners and balanced individuals. I may not be able to control their home lives, but I really try to provide meaningful and memorable experiences for them every day.

My Project

As we all know Omicron is raging and the latest data says that N95 masks are the best for preventing the spread of the virus. I want to make sure ALL my students have access to the masks doctors say work the best. Because of this, I am asking for N95 masks for my students.

I want to stay in person learning, while also being safe and I want to make sure ALL my students have access to N95 masks!

Many students in our school lack clean and dry facemasks. Some students come with dirty or wet face masks and can't change them because they don't bring extras in their backpacks. Some students also bring adult size face masks that are constantly sliding down their faces because they are too big which leads to our students trying to adjust their masks instead of paying attention in class.

Please help me give my students doctor recommended masks that are clean and just their size! I am also requesting antibacterial hand wipes that will be used during our station times.

Any help is appreciated!
