Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

WANTED: Healthy Students I teach fifth grade in a school district that has a high percentage of families at the poverty level.

This may seem like a silly request, but it is extremely important. The flu season is upon us and I want to stay one step ahead of it by taking preventative measures.

I teach in a school district that does not provide hand soap, hand sanitizer or tissues for the classrooms. Yes, that means my students are expected to stay germ-free without these supplies being readily available to them in the classroom. I truly want to help my students remain healthy this year. The healthier my students are, the more they will attend school. We all know how important it is for students to attend school on a regular basis. That is why I am requesting these germ-killing supplies.

I realize my request is not for instructional materials, however, by requesting disinfecting supplies I hope to gain instructional TIME. Please help me ensure the continuity of learning in my classroom. Thank you.
