My students need 21 great children's books, such as "It's Christmas", "David and Bats at the Ballgame" to read during story time, silent reading, and to take home to share.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Can you imagine not have any books in your home? This is the challenge my students face daily.
I teach 22 AWESOME kids.
They are in kindergarten and first grade. They come from a high-needs area. Over 98 percent of our school participates in the free or reduced lunch program. Most of my students have not been read to before they start school nor do they have any children's books in their homes.
My Project
These books will open doors for my students. They will allow my students to have books at the finger tips. You never can have too many books for eager learners. These books will be able to go home with the children so they can share their love of reading with their families. The books will teach them vocabulary, comprehension skills and increase their reading fluency rates.
A donation to this project is putting books into little ones hands, hearts and homes.
A donation to this project will help my students learn to read and be proud of the accomplishments and allow them to share their accomplishments with their families.
