Our school is full of bright and unique individuals. Each and every one of our students have different needs and wants. The kids and staff accept each other, which makes for an exciting and eventful time at our school! Our students are from an urban, low-income area. They have the biggest hearts, but sometimes they don't show it in appropriate ways. I think that our students have amazing possibilities in life. If they could just try to accomplish the tasks at hand, they can do it!
My Project
With your donation for these flexible seating options, I believe they will solve more than just the wiggles and fidgets. This will also help with any problems with personal space, sitting for too long in a hard chair, and overall, foster a better attention span to listening and cooperating.
In my classroom, I have transitioned to a non-traditional classroom environment.
I have wiggle seats, bean bags, and standing desks. I also have yoga balls and camping chairs. With these jellyfish seats, chair bands, lounge chair, and stools, I think this will let the students pick and choose their best seats for their own learning styles.
I believe this will invite the students to a more comfortable classroom environment and overall foster a more engaging learning community.
